Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication data through email and password or Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information permitted by your Google account settings.

Resume and job description content: To provide the core tailoring service, we collect and process the resume content you upload or paste and the job description text you provide. This may include your employment history, education, skills, and other career-related personal information you choose to include.

Payment information: Purchases by customers in India are processed by Razorpay; purchases by customers outside India are processed by PayPal. We do not store your full payment card or bank details on our servers. We retain records of your purchases, credit balance, and transaction history for billing, tax, and support purposes.

Country detection: To show you the correct currency, pricing, and payment provider for your region, our servers derive an approximate country from your connection (such as IP-based country information provided by our hosting infrastructure). We use the country to select your market and payment provider.

Approximate location and how you found us: When you visit, our hosting infrastructure reads an approximate location from your connection: city, region, country, its time zone, and your internet provider and its network number. We store that with your visit to understand where our visitors come from. It is never more precise than a city, we store only a keyed hash of your IP address (never the address itself), and we never ask your device for its location. We also record the page you first landed on (keeping only campaign and navigation details, never email addresses, sign-in or unsubscribe codes), the website that sent you, the pages you view and the links and buttons you press (the button's words on our public pages, and where each leads; on pages showing your own resume, files or job postings, only which kind of button it was; never anything you type), with a random identifier for your browser.

Support requests: When you contact us through the Support page or by email, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message, along with the page you were on if you choose to share it, so we can respond to and resolve your request.

Usage data: We may automatically collect information such as your network address (used to apply limits and stored only as a keyed hash), browser type, device information, pages visited, and actions taken, including tailoring sessions and exports. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Service is used; this may set analytics cookies and collect pseudonymous usage identifiers.

Blog comments and reactions: You can like or dislike a blog article and post a comment without an account. A comment is shown publicly with the name you enter. To count a view once per reader per day, keep one reaction per reader and stop spam, we set a random identifier in a cookie (rz_reader, kept for a year) and store only a keyed hash of it and of your network address, never the address itself. The daily view records are deleted after two days; a comment or reaction keeps these hashes until it is removed. Your browser also remembers the name you last commented with (stored only on your device). You can delete your own comment from the same browser; if you can’t (for example, after clearing cookies), email support@resumeize.com with the article and the comment and we will remove it. We may hide or remove comments that break these rules or our Terms.

Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as dark mode, count blog views and reactions, and understand how the Service is used.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain Resumeize, including tailored resumes and cover letters
• Process payments and manage purchases and credits
• Send transactional emails, including account confirmation, password reset, and billing receipts
• Send a welcome email when you sign up and, at most once, a reminder about a tailored resume you started but haven’t downloaded; every reminder has a one-click unsubscribe link
• Respond to support requests
• Improve and monitor the performance and reliability of the Service, including reviewing, by our team only, the resumes, job descriptions and results of individual sessions to fix errors, answer support requests and improve the quality of the analysis
• Measure our AI usage and costs per session
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
• Comply with legal obligations

To analyze and tailor your resume, the resume content and job description you provide are sent securely to third-party AI language model providers — currently models from OpenAI and Google, accessed through our AI gateway — strictly to generate your analysis, scores, and tailored content. Your content is sent only when you run an analysis or generation, and is not used to display advertising. In the AI resume builder, PDF, Word and text files you attach are read in your browser and only their text is sent, as a chat message; pictures you attach (and scanned PDF pages) are sent to Google's model only to read the text in them, and the pictures themselves are not stored. AI providers may retain API inputs for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring according to their applicable service terms; we configure processing to minimize retention where the provider supports it.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers that help us operate the Service, including our hosting and database infrastructure (Lovable Cloud), Razorpay and PayPal for payment processing, AI processing providers (OpenAI and Google), Google for optional sign-in, and Google Analytics for usage measurement
• Legal authorities when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
• A successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required by law

We retain your account information and resume and tailoring data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data, resumes, tailored versions, and associated content within 30 days, except where records must be retained for legal, tax, or accounting purposes — for example, transaction and billing records are retained as required by applicable Indian tax and accounting law. If you run an analysis without an account, the resume and job description you provide and the result are kept for 48 hours so you can sign up and keep them, and are then deleted. Visit records (pages, links pressed, approximate location) and records of AI usage (which task ran, its size in tokens and its cost, never the text) are kept for up to 24 months. Support requests are retained for up to 24 months so we can resolve follow-ups and maintain a service history, and are deleted or anonymized after that unless a longer retention is legally required.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request a portable copy of your data

If you are in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including the rights to access, correct, and erase your personal data and to raise a grievance; you may contact us at the address above to exercise them. If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, row-level database access controls, and restricted access to production systems. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Resumeize is operated from India. Our service providers may store or process data in other countries, including the United States. By using the Service, you consent to transferring your information to locations that may have different data protection laws from your home country.

The Service is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and changing the last-updated date.
